My name is Bianca Romo. I am a sixth year Ph.D. student in the Cancer Biology Program at Dartmouth College. I am originally from a small town in New Mexico called Artesia. As a kid, I grew up in doctor’s offices, tagging along with my mom as she went to work. From a young age I was able to see medicine up close. I was interested in how human diseases worked. In college I was able to work in research labs that focused on various human diseases. It was this work that really proved that medical research was something I wanted to pursue in the future. This desire lead to me to come to work at Dartmouth where I could study breast cancer.
