I graduated from North Carolina State University with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Nanotechnology. I am currently a PhD student at the Thayer School of Engineering focusing on developing nanoparticles that can deliver oxygen and drugs to tumors for better cancer therapy outcomes. I was interested in being a SEPA graduate student because I was fortunate to be a student in a similar program while in middle and high school. I wanted to use what I learned on the receiving end to better education for rural communities here in the Upper Valley. Additionally, I think about challenges facing education in my spare time and wanted to learn about the problems facing rural education and be a part of the solution.
